Sport and education have always gone hand in hand for Danny Hall. As a collegiate coach for 30 years, Coach Hall has had tremendous success on the “diamond” and has positively impacted a countless number of student athletes from across the country. 


Recently, Coach Hall realized the impact that he, staff and student athletes could have on the community surrounding Georgia Tech. It would be easy for Coach Hall to teach the basic skills of baseball and improve the fundamentals and skill set of children interested in baseball. However, Coach Hall wants to dig deeper. By developing a mentoring program using himself, staff and the student athletes of Georgia Tech he feels he can have an everlasting impact on children that are growing up with too few, or without quality role models. Introducing GAME, a non-profit organization designed to improve the lives of diasadvantaged youth. GAME is an acronymn that describes the four base principles the organizations hopes to achieve. Guidance, Athletics, Mentorship and Education.


Based on both qualitative and quantitavie research we understand that children do not automatically act with integrity or demonstrate sportsmanship. The acquisition of values is often a by-product of a series of complex processes that evolve from individuals’ experiences. GAME teaches participants a set of skills to allow them to face challenges at home, school and play in a constructive manner. The goal is for participants to internalize The "Starting Nine" Focus Areas, which are at the heart of GAMES's mission. The "Starting Nine" Focus areas are listed below:


Education - the process of facilitating learning.

Teamwork - acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause.

Sportsmanship - respecting the rules of play and those that enforce the rules; winning or losing with humility.

Respect - to feel or show deferential regard for; esteem.

Integrity - strict adherence to a standard of value or conduct; personal honesty and independence.

Responsibility - accounting for one’s actions; a dependable person that anyone can count on.

Judgement - the ability to make a decision or form an opinion; a decision reached after consideration.

Perseverance - to persist in an idea, purpose or task despite obstacles.

Confidence - reliance or trust; a feeling of self-assurance
